WPD Racial Equity Audit Webpage
In 2022, the Worcester Police Department (WPD) underwent a Racial Equity Audit, conducted by the Center for Naval Analyses (CNA). The audit involved an external review of WPD's institutional norms, systems, policies, and practices and resulted in several recommendations on improvements to its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts. Informing Worcester is the City's open data portal. The City has established this open data portal where any and all interested parties can obtain public information at no cost. The portal includes incident dispatches received by the Worcester Police Department.

This form is only for commending, lodging a complaint against or making a suggestion regarding a member of the Worcester, Massachusetts Police Department. Comments regarding police officers from other law enforcement agencies must be submitted to their employer in their jurisdiction.

Quality of Life Team
The Quality of Life Team is an interdepartmental team made up of members of the City Manager's Office, Department of Inspectional Services, Department of Public Works, Department of Parks, Recreation & Cemetery and Worcester Police Department.

The next scheduled Citizens' Academy is Sept. 10 thru Nov. 19, 2025. The Citizens' Academy is a group of Worcester citizens who are interested in learning more about how their police department operates and the policing challenges our city faces. Participants in each session commit to meeting for three hours one night per week, for eleven weeks, to learn about each aspect of the department. Learn More about this program.

Permits and the appropriate forms are issued by the Detail Office. There is a $5 fee for all permits (except Work Permits, which are $10).
Parking ticket appeals are handled through the Municipal Hearing Office, City Hall Room 203, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You may call 508-799-8656 or File an Appeal Online.
Speeding ticket payments are handled through the Registry of Motor Vehicles, NOT the Worcester Police Department.
