Who Can Register to Vote?

You may register or pre-register to vote in Massachusetts if:

• You are a citizen of the United States; and
• You will be at least 16 years of age; and
• You are a resident of Massachusetts; and
• You are not currently incarcerated by reason of a felony conviction.

If you meet the above requirements, you may register to vote online, by mail, or in-person. The deadline to register to vote in any election or regular town meeting is ten (10) days prior to the date of the election or meeting.

The Office of the City Clerk maintains the records of Death. Town records are available for the years 1686 through 1847. City records begin in 1848 and continue to the present day. The City Clerk certifies copies of these records upon request and payment of a fee.

The WRA is responsible for urban renewal planning, land acquisition, business relocation, demolition of obsolete structures, site testing/preparation and public improvements.

The Authority is made up of five (5) members, four (4) of whom are selected by the City Manager and one (1) by the Governor. The WRA is staffed by the City of Worcester, with the Chief Development Officer serving as the Chief Executive Officer, supported by staff from the City Solicitor's Office, the Budget Office, the Department of Public Works and the Executive Office of Economic Development.
