Accessibility Advisory Commission

The Accessibility Advisory Commission ensures that all Worcester residents and visitors with disabilities have access to city programs and services by providing information and referral, advocacy, outreach and educational programs.

Elder Affairs Commission
About
The Commission on Elder Affairs is composed of volunteers representing many ages and experiences and who reflect themselves in matters of concern to the operation of the Elder Affairs division of City services. Public and private agencies share their methods, goals, and problems with Commissioners and administrative staff. Commissioners meet monthly unless required more frequently. Commissioners are urged to participate in related organizations so as to increase their understanding of the needs of elderly citizens.
How do I become a vendor for the City of Worcester?
For bids/contracts issued by the Purchasing Division, we will establish an internal vendor number in order to process purchase order requests. For other goods and/or services, the department requesting the item(s) will follow the same procedures in order to process purchase order requests. Companies interested in introducing a new product or service may do so by emailing to bids@worcesterma.gov. Please be sure to provide all relevant information.
Am I eligible for any exemptions?
Chapter 60A, Section 1 of the Massachusetts General Laws provides excise tax exemptions for vehicles owned by certain disabled individuals and veterans, ex-prisoners of war and their surviving spouses and certain charitable organizations. Please contact the Assessors office at 508-799-1098 for further details on eligibility.
