The City of Worcester proudly joins communities across the Commonwealth and the nation in commemorating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.

Worcester's citizens played a critical role throughout the Revolution, serving as organizers, militia members, and leaders who advanced the cause of liberty. The City later became the site of Massachusetts' first public reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 14, 1776.

WPD Special Crimes Unit and Cyber Crime Unit Partner with Several Agencies to Arrest and Charge Five Males with Human Trafficking of Child and Other Charges

On Friday, March 13, 2026, the Worcester Police Special Crimes Unit and Cyber Crime Unit partnered with the Boston Division Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New England Human Trafficking Unit and the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office to conduct an undercover human trafficking operation which aims to identify and arrest customers seeking to obtain commercial sexual services from minors.
