Worcester Police Department

On March 20, 2026, Vice Detectives were in possession of a search warrant for an apartment on Charlton Street. This address had become a problem property with numerous complaints of drug dealing and disorderly people at all hours of the day and night over the last several weeks. 

At approximately 9:45 a.m., Vice Detectives and members of the Neighborhood Response Team approached the address and entered through the front common door.  Vice Detectives approached the door to the apartment and knocked and announced, “Worcester Police, Search Warrant”.  Simultaneously, the door opened from within.  A male inside later identified as Edwin Semiday attempted to slam the door shut on Vice Detectives.  Vice Detectives made their way inside and detained eight occupants. 

Evidence of drug distribution was littered all throughout the small apartment, including digital scales, packaging material, cutting agents, and drugs packaged for sale.  In total, Detectives recovered approximately 20 grams of fentanyl packaged for sale and 17 grams of crack cocaine. Joseph Baez, Jasmine Fuentes, Jesus Benitez, Angel Perez, Quazay McClain, Arianna Belcher, Cristalee Gonzalez and Edwin Semiday were arrested and charged with Trafficking in Class A Fentanyl 18-36 grams and Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute.
