The Providence Street Playground has been a city park since 2010. It features a new playground, which is split into two sections. One side is focused on younger kids, while the other side is geared toward older kids. It also contains Glodis Field, a multipurpose turf field named after the late State Rep. William J. Glodis.

Artificial Turf Structure at Glodis Field Seen Through a Fence

Located adjacent to the Providence Street School is this recently renovated artificial turf multi-use athletic field. Glodis Field is constantly used by the neighborhood community as well as the school. Parking is available on the site and plenty of on-street parking is also available, except during school hours. Come by and try playing lacrosse, football, soccer or other field sports on this amazing play surface!

Lake View Playground

Lake View Playground is a small neighborhood park located on Lakeview Street, less than half a mile away from Lake Quinsigamond. This park features a playground, a swing set and a half basketball court. There also is a memorial stone bench on the Lakeview Street side of the park.

University Park is located in both a residential neighborhood and directly adjacent to a college campus. In the middle of the park is Crystal Pond, formerly used for swimming and ice skating. Today, activities on the Pond are limited to occasional paddle boating or toy boat races.

Boynton Park is Worcester's second largest city-park, physically located within the town of Paxton. It features a baseball diamond, picnic area and many hiking and nature trails, which connect to many other publicly accessible green spaces. Silver Spring cuts through the middle of the park.
