Request for Proposals (RFP) - Nonprofit Partners
The City of Worcester is pleased to announce the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Opioid Settlement Funding on October 2, 2026.
Through this funding opportunity, the City of Worcester seeks proposals from nonprofit organizations committed to addressing the opioid crisis and improving the health and well-being of Worcester residents impacted by substance use disorder (SUD) and opioid use disorder (OUD).
All applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on November 4, 2026.
Funding Opportunity
The City of Worcester will make opioid settlement funding available through this RFP to support eligible nonprofit organizations serving Worcester residents.
Funding Priority Areas
Proposals could address one or more of the following areas of focus:
- Opioid Use Disorder Treatment
- Support for People in Treatment and Recovery
- Connections to Care
- Harm Reduction
- Addressing the Needs of Criminal Justice-Involved Persons
- Support for Pregnant or Parenting Women and Their Families, Including Babies with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
- Prevention of Opioid Misuse and Implement Prevention Education
Applicants should clearly identify the funding priority area(s) their proposed project will address and explain how the proposed activities respond to the needs of Worcester residents.
The City of Worcester is particularly interested in proposals that:
- Demonstrate a clear community need
- Use evidence-based or evidence-informed practices
- Establish meaningful partnerships and coordinated service pathways
- Incorporate the perspectives of people with lived or living experience
- Improve access and outcomes for populations disproportionately impacted by substance use and overdose
