Preparing for MassHealth Insurance Changes Coming to Massachusetts

Due to federal legislation, there will be changes to insurance for MassHealth members in Massachusetts. These changes will not have an impact on most members, and they are not happening immediately. In the meantime, this page provides a list of resources for enrollment assistance.

Where to go in Worcester for Enrollment Assistance

In Worcester, you can enroll in health insurance through the official state marketplace (Massachusetts Health Connector) or via in-person navigators at local health centers and state offices.

These specific enrollment sites and programs provide in-person application and renewal help in the city:

  • General Navigation Help: For in-person assistance, you can use the online Health Connector Help Center to find a local Navigator or Certified Application Counselor. Alternatively, you can contact the MassHealth Customer Service Center directly by calling 800-841-2900
  • Health Connector Customer Service Number: For patients who may have questions about alternative coverage options: 1-877-MA-ENROLL (1-877-623-6765)
  • UMass Memorial Health Financial Counseling: For assistance in finding affordable insurance. Visit Financial Counseling | UMass Memorial Health, call 508-334-9300, or email needinsurance@umassmemorial.org
  • Family Health Center of Worcester: On-site certified insurance navigators who can enroll you in MassHealth, Connector Care, and private plans. Call 508-860-7700. Walk-ins welcome Monday - Saturday at 26 Queen St.
  • Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center: Certified Navigators provide bilingual enrollment assistance. Visit Medical Services | Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center or call 508-595-0726. Appointments are required and are open to everyone in the community.
  • Worcester RISE for Health: Specializes in assisting recently arriving refugee/immigrant population. RISE has on-site Certified Application Counselors with expertise on immigrant eligibility who can assist with MassHealth and Health Connector enrollment.
