Bennett Field is an almost 6 acre park, undergoing renovations to the ball field and retaining wall along Gates Lane. Bennett field is located behind the state Veterans Memorial Pool in Webster Square. This park features a softball field, a playground and a pool!
Public Notice: The playground at Bennett Field will be closed as of July 29, 2026, to replace the playground rubber safety surfacing. The playground will be closed for approximately 30 days with a scheduled reopening on or before Friday August 28, 2026, (weather permitting), for the beginning of the new school year. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Run and Play
The playground at Bennet Field consists of two sections. One section is designed for children 2-5 years old, while the other section is designed for children 5-12 years old. There are swings for young kids, and for older kids. There are also various play structures with varying levels of difficulty, such as a climbing wall, monkey bar structures, tic tac toe panel, tall or short slides and much more!
Take a Dip
Cool off and take a dip in the Veterans Memorial (Bennett Field) Swimming Pool! This pool is located in the City park.
The pool is in the Bennett Field park, but it is run by the State's Department of Conservation and Recreation.
