Banis Street Playlot is a small 2,500 square foot park located on the corner of Dorchester and Houghton Street. Acquired by the City in 1947 and it was named for its location, as it is situated in "Banis Square." The park features a playground, seating and picnic tables.

A plaque in the park has an inscription that reads, "Play equipment donated in loving memory of Harold 'Mickie' Bailin through the generosity of Maurice and Ben Bailin."

Rockwood Field Baseball Diamond

Rockwood Field

Rockwood Field is located right next door to Worcester State University on Chandler Street. George I. Rockwood donated the land that now makes up Rockwood Field to the City of Worcester in 1940 with the intention to create an area that would be placed under the Parks and Recreation Department.
Ty Cobb Baseball Diamond and Dugouts

Ty Cobb Park

Ty Cobb Park is located on James Street near the Worcester-Auburn line. This park features two little league baseball fields and a softball field. Ty Cobb Park is the home of Ty Cobb Little League, which was established in 1952, being one of the first three Little Leagues in Worcester.
East Park Entrance with Griffin Statue

Cristoforo Colombo (East) Park

East Park has two stone griffins flanking the park entrance. The park contains lighted football fields, a tennis court, two basketball courts, a splash pad, a new playground, amphitheater and many acres of hillsides connecting the East Side Trail.
