Current City of Worcester COVID-19 Status

Due to the expiration of the federal and state COVID-19 public health emergencies on May 11, 2023 and based on current trends, the City's COVID-19 dashboard is no longer updated on a regular basis. Health officials will continue to monitor cases internally and follow necessary protocols in the case of clusters of concern.

Testing

Rapid antigen (self-tests or at-home) tests may be purchased at many pharmacies, retail stores or online. Learn More Information About Testing in Massachusetts.

Walk-up testing at the UMass Memorial Health clinic at the Mercantile Center concluded on March 30, 2023. More information about testing sites in the area, including pharmacies, retailers and health care facilities, can be found at Testing for COVID.

Vaccination

Everyone ages 6 months and older should get a 2024 - 2025 COVID-19 vaccine.

Where to Get Vaccinated

Residents may contact their healthcare provider or local pharmacy to inquire about vaccine availability, and they are encouraged to check with their insurance provider regarding potential out-of-pocket cost. Find a vaccination site at vaccines.gov and visit the Massachusetts Department of Public Health for more information.

You may schedule an appointment by calling the In-Home Vaccination Central Intake Line (operated by CDR Health) at 833-983-0485 or on the CDR Health Patient Portal page. Phone representatives are available in both English and Spanish, and they also have access to translators for over 100 other languages.

In-home vaccinations will be:

  • Scheduled within a week of request.
  • Performed by fully vaccinated medical professionals, following all public health safety guidelines.
  • Tailored to meet the individual needs of the individual, as discussed on the scheduling call.
