WPD’s Vice Squad Arrests Male on Gun Charges, Possession of Cocaine

On October 29, 2025, Vice Detectives were in possession of a search warrant for an apartment on Hitchcock Road. The named target of the warrant was twenty-nine-year-old Ruben Ramos of Worcester.
At approximately 11:00 a.m., Ramos exited his residence. Vice Detectives stopped Ramos, who struggled with them as they attempted to detain him in front of the residence. At the same time, members of the Worcester Vice and Gang Units along with DEA task force officers made entry into the apartment.
A subsequent search of Ramos' bedroom revealed 22 grams of crack cocaine, currency, and a Glock .40 caliber firearm loaded with an extended magazine. Ramos is charged with Trafficking in Cocaine, Firearm Use in a Felony, Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Improper Storage of a Large Capacity Firearm near A Minor, and Possession of a Firearm with 3 Prior Violent Crimes/Drug Offenses.
