WPD’s Vice Squad Arrests Male on Firearm and Drug Charges

On November 17, 2025, Worcester Police Department Vice Squad detectives were in possession of a search warrant for an apartment on Vernon Street. The named target of the warrant was thirty-nine-year-old Francisco Rivera.
At approximately 11:15 AM, Vice detectives observed Rivera exit the residence and drive away in a vehicle. Knowing that Rivera had a suspended license, he was stopped by Vice Detectives, placed under arrest, and brought back to the residence.
Vice Detectives made entry into the apartment and secured three females. A search of the apartment revealed approximately 16 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale and a loaded high-capacity firearm under the pillow in Rivera's bedroom. Rivera was arrested and is being charged with Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute and numerous firearms charges.
