WPD’s Gang Unit Arrests Male on Drug Distribution Charges

At approximately 5:30 PM on Friday, November 21, 2025, Worcester Police officers assigned to the Gang Unit observed a vehicle with a suspended license. Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Main Street.
The operator told officers that he did not have a drivers license. The passenger, later identified as twenty-four-year-old Joseph Baez, kept ducking down towards the floorboard. Both men were told to exit the vehicle. Officers found 10 baggies of suspected crack cocaine and six baggies of suspected fentanyl on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Baez was arrested and charged with Possession of a Class A Substance with Intent to Distribute and Distribution of a Class B Substance. The driver was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License.
