Worcester Police Department

At approximately 4:11 a.m. on April 2, 2026, Worcester Police officers responded to a call of an assault involving a knife at a rooming house on Catharine Street. They located an adult male suffering from stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. 

Officers also located an adult male suspect at the scene and placed under him under arrest for the attack. All evidence indicates that this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public. The case remains under investigation by the Detective Bureau.
