WPD Vice Squad Officers Execute Warrant on Gage St, Recover Cocaine and Fentanyl

On November 29th 2023 at about 7:15 PM, Worcester Police Vice Squad officers had a search warrant for a Gage St apartment. The target of the warrant was thirty-three-year-old Francis Mattioli. Officers entered the apartment and found Mr. Mattioli in one of the bedrooms, where he was detained.
A search of the apartment revealed bags of what appeared to fentanyl, what appeared to be heroin, what appeared to be powder cocaine, and packaging materials. Officers also located a crossbow. Mr. Mattioli was placed under arrest and is charged with Trafficking in a Class B Substance 18-36 Grams, Possession of a Class A Substance with Intent to Distribute, and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon.
