WPD Vice Squad Officers Arrest Juvenile for Handgun

On May 14th, 2025, Worcester Police Vice Squad officers were conducting surveillance in the area of Southbridge St. At about 6:55 PM, an officer’s attention was drawn to four males who appeared to be juveniles. One of the males was exhibiting behavior consistent with carrying a firearm, and officers decided to approach the group.
As officers approached the group, one fifteen-year-old attempted to flee. Officers grabbed him and noticed what appeared to be a handgun in his waistband. They removed the firearm and placed him under arrest. The firearm had a partially removed serial number. He is charged with Carrying a Firearm without a License and Possession of an Untraceable Firearm.
