Worcester Police Deparment

On March 22, 2024, Worcester Police Vice Squad officers were in the area of Boylston Street after receiving several complaints of drug transactions. After observing what they believed to be a transaction, officers pulled over a vehicle. Both occupants, operator forty-one-year-old Juan Otero and passenger twenty-seven-year-old Owen Alicea, were removed from the vehicle. Officers found what appeared to be cocaine and fentanyl on Alicea. A large amount of used and unused drug packaging was discovered in the vehicle, along with a digital scale and a bottle of cutting agent. Officers suspect both men were working together to distribute cocaine and fentanyl using Otero’s vehicle.

Both men were arrested and will be charged with possession with intent to distribute a class A substance, possession with intent to distribute a class B substance, trafficking a class B substance 18-36g (19g), and distribution of a class B substance.
