WPD Requests Public's Assistance to Locate Operator of Vehicle Who Hit Male on Electric Scooter

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 7/31/2024 11:31 am

On July 19th, 2024, at approximately 3:10 AM, a pedestrian on an electric scooter was traveling east on June Street when he was struck by a vehicle. The twenty-six-year-old male who was hit was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The operator of the vehicle did not stop and fled the scene. The vehicle was captured on surveillance video. It is described as a blue four-door sedan, with fog lights and rims. Any damage on the vehicle would be located on the front passengers’ side bumper, hood, or even windshield.
