On August 27th 2023 at about 11:10 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of 97 Church St for a report of a fight that might have resulted in a stabbing. One officer was right around the corner when the call came in, and immediately saw two males who matched the description given by dispatch. One of the males, identified as Gage Beauchesne, thirty-two-years-old of Main Street, had visible blood on his person. Officers removed a black folding knife from Mr. Beauchesne and detained him while they investigated.
Officers determined that Mr. Beauchesne had approached a small group. After a brief verbal argument, a physical fight ensued and Mr. Beauchesne stabbed two males. The two males were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds. Mr. Beauchesne was arrested and is charged with two counts of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife). He will be arraigned in court.
