WPD Officers Make Quick Arrest After Shots Fired on Birch St

On November 5th 2023 at about 11:30 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of Birch St for a ShotSpotter activation. Upon arrival, the first responding officer saw one male sprinting up the stairs of a nearby residence. Officers discovered evidence that shots had been fired and went to speak with witnesses and the male who was seen running.
As a result of the investigation, officers located a loaded handgun in a common area of the apartment and arrested nineteen-year-old Christian Tian-Salvador of Birch St. Mr. Tian-Salvador is charged with Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling, Improper Storage of a Firearm, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
