WPD Officers Arrest Man After Reported House Break

On July 19th, 2025, at about 9 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of Ericcson St for a report of a residential break in progress. Someone observed a male entering the vacant residence on a security camera, and gave dispatch a description of the male. Upon arrival, officers received information that a loud crash had been heard at the address shortly before their arrival. Officers observed a glass patio door that was shattered.
In the area, officers located sixty-one-year-old Thomas Marnalse of Ruthven Ave. Mr. Marnalse matched the description given of the suspect pictured in the security footage. Officers developed probable cause that Mr. Marnalse had entered the residence and taken items that did not belong to him. He was placed under arrest for Breaking and Entering in the Daytime to Commit a Felony, and Larceny from a Building.
