Worcester Police Department

At approximately 10:23 p.m. on June 20, 2026, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to Green Street for a person with a gun. Witnesses said a vehicle was driving when someone inside dropped a gun on the ground. Officers found several rounds scattered at the scene. Moments later, a male ran to the area, picked up the firearm and ran away.  An investigation led officers to a suspect who was nearby on Green Street. 

Twenty-one-year-old Reynaldo Martinez of Worcester was placed under arrest and the gun was recovered. It was found to have no serial number. Mr. Martinez was charged with Carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession of an Untraceable Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Possession of a Firearm without and FID Card and other gun-related charges.
