WPD Officers Arrest Male on Gun Charges
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 10/8/2026 12:30 pm
At approximately 5:13 p.m. on October 7, 2026, Worcester Police officers observed a vehicle park in an area with “No Trespassing” signs parked on Main Street. Three females and a male were inside of the vehicle. The male had left the vehicle by the time officers approached.
The three females could not identify the owner of the vehicle. Further investigation showed that the vehicle had been stolen. The three females were arrested for receiving a stolen motor vehicle and trespassing.
The male, later identified as twenty-year-old Dwayne Linder of Worcester, returned to the scene and a firearm was found on his person. Its serial number was scratched off. Officers confirmed that Mr. Linder did not have a license to carry.
He was charged with Carrying a Firearm without a License, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of a Firearm with a Defaced Serial Number, along with several other gun charges and Using a Motor Vehicle Without Authority.
