WPD Officers Arrest Male after 7-11 Robbery

On April 25th 2023 at about 11 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to 7-11 at 409 Park Ave for a report of a holdup alarm. Officers spoke with witnesses, who said that a male entered the store, walked behind the counter, and took cigarettes. The male then demanded money from the clerk, and shoved the clerk backwards before fleeing on foot.
Officers issued a BOLO with the male’s description. On Park Ave, officers stopped a male, identified as forty-year-old William Cryer of Queen St, who matched the description. After an investigation, Mr. Cryer was placed under arrest for Unarmed Robbery.
