WPD Officers Arrest Female on Drug Possession to Distribute Charges

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 8/29/2025 1:30 pm

On August 29, 2025, at approximately 11:35 AM, Worcester Police officers were on patrol on Main Street when a citizen reported a disturbance and people possibly using drugs at a McDonald’s. 

Officers identified the parties involved. A male and female gave them consent to search their persons. 9 baggies of crack cocaine, a bag of heroin and 19 Gabapentin pills were found on thirty-seven-year-old Charlene Brooks of Worcester. The narcotics were packaged in small individual quantities, which is consistent with distribution.

Brooks was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of a Class A Substance (Heroin), Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Substance (Crack Cocaine) and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Substance (Gabapentin). The male was free to leave.
