WPD Officer Assigned to DEA HIDTA Task Force Arrests Man for Cocaine Trafficking

On October 23rd, 2024, a Worcester Police officer was assigned to a task force with DEA Worcester HIDTA. The officer was taking part in an ongoing drug information involving a Worcester man, thirty-five-year-old Ronny Paredes-Suarez of Millbury St. Officers observed Mr. Paredes-Suarez driving a Honda in the area of Myrtle St, and stopped the vehicle.
A K9 from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office responded and assisted with the stop. The K9 alerted, and officers located a large amount of cocaine in a hidden compartment of the vehicle. Mr. Paredes-Suarez was placed under arrest for Trafficking in a Class B Substance 100-199 Grams.
