WPD Neighborhood Response Team Officers Arrest Two Males on Drug Distribution Charges

On April 23, 2025, just before noon, Worcester Police officers assigned to the Neighborhood Response Team observed a drug transaction in a vehicle in the parking lot of a business on Main Street.
Twenty-eight-year-old Jose Salvador-Santana was removed from the passenger’s side of the vehicle. As he was removed, officers could see a digital scale near where he was seated. The scale was covered in a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine. Officers then found a bottle filled with 25 pills believed to be Oxycontin and a large sum of cash on the passenger’s side.
A woman and another male, twenty-six-year-old Wilson Salas-Reyes, were also removed from the vehicle. Officers then found four pills believed to be Oxycodone on the driver’s side where Salas-Reyes was seated, along with a large amount of cash and a double-bladed knife.
Both men were searched. An Oxycontin pill was found in Salvador-Santana’s pocket. A knotted baggie with a white powdery substance suspected to be fentanyl was found on Salas-Reyes. A license plate which was later confirmed to be stolen was found in the trunk of the vehicle which was registered to Salvador-Santana. Both men were arrested, while the female was free to leave.
Wilson Salas-Reyes of Worcester is charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D, Possession to Distribute Class B Drug, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon and Trespass.
Jose Salvador-Santana of New York is charged with Possession to Distribute Class B Drug, Possession of a Class B Substance, Receiving Stolen Property and Trespass.
