Worcester Police Deparment

On February 24, 2025, at approximately 3:27 AM, Worcester Police officers responded to multiple ShotSpotter activations for gunfire. Responding officers observed approximately 30 shell casings in Southbridge Street area.

An investigation determined that three males were in a vehicle, which was stopped a red light. Another vehicle drove up behind them and a number of shots were fired. The suspect vehicle drove off. The operator of the victim’s vehicle drove to a nearby hospital. Two of the three men were treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The WPD’s Detective Bureau and Crime Scene Unit are investigating.
