WPD Detectives Arrest Man for Washington St Shots Fired

On March 30th, 2025, at about 9:45 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to Washington St for a report of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers discovered evidence that shots had been fired and the case was referred to the Detective Bureau for further investigation.
After an investigation, detectives developed probable cause for the arrest of twenty-four-year-old Luis Nascimiento. Detectives charged Mr. Nascimiento with Carrying a Firearm While Unlicensed, Carrying a Loaded Firearm While Unlicensed, Possession of a Firearm without an FID Card, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, and Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling.
On April 1st, 2025, Worcester Police detectives were conducting surveillance in the area of Washington St when they saw Mr. Nascimiento, who was placed under arrest for his two warrants and the charges listed above.
