Worcester Police Deparment

On April 25, 2025, Worcester Police detectives assigned to the Gang Unit, SWAT team, Crime Gun Intelligence Unit and Detective Bureau were in possession of a search warrant for an apartment on Shelby Street. The target was identified as twenty-one-year-old Giancarlos Guzman. 

At approximately 6:00 am, the SWAT team made entry to the apartment and secured Guzman and his brother, twenty-five-year-old Yadiel Guzman. Upon entry, SWAT team members observed one of the males throw a fanny pack out of the window. Members of the Gang Unit and Crime Gun Intelligence Unit found a working firearm inside. Giancarlos Guzman later admitted that the weapon was his. Prior to acting on the warrant, detectives determined that neither man possess a license to carry. 

Giancarlos Guzman is charged with Possession of Firearm without FID, Possession of Ammunition without FID, Improper Storage of a Firearm with a Minor Present and the warrant. Yadiel Guzman is charged with a warrant.
