WPD Crash Reconstruction Unit Investigates Serious Pedestrian Crash on Shrewsbury St

On July 29th, 2024, at about 3:51 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of 164 Shrewsbury St for a report of a pedestrian crash. Officers joined paramedics, firefighters, and an off-duty officer on scene as they rendered medical aid to the female victim. The victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital and the Crash Reconstruction Unit arrived to begin the follow-up investigation.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the female victim was crossing Shrewsbury St on foot when she was struck by a Buick. She suffered serious injuries and is being treated at the hospital. The investigation continues.
