Multiple Police Agencies Assist to Arrest Worcester Carjacking Suspect

On April 3, 2025, at approximately 7:41 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to Highland Street for a report of a carjacking. Two women stated they were inside of a vehicle when a male approached and demanded they get out of the car. Both women stated that he reached for his waistband and raised his shirt as if he was grabbing a gun. They got out and the male drove off in their vehicle. The women were not hurt.
WPD officers quickly identified the suspect. Later in the evening, Massachusetts State Police discovered the vehicle unoccupied on I-495 in Westborough. State Police, Hopkinton Police and Westborough Police continued their investigation until the male was arrested by Westborough Police. The Worcester Police Detective Bureau arrived on scene and took thirty-year-old Frank Nieves into custody. He was brought back to Worcester and charged with armed carjacking.
