Male on the Run for Years Arrested in Connection with Shooting Incidents

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 12/22/2025 9:02 am

A male who had three active arrest warrants for shooting incidents in the city of Worcester has been placed under arrest. These incidents date back to 2019. 29-year-old Kenneth Diaz has been on the run since 2022. In that time, several agencies, including the Worcester Police Department have attempted to locate Diaz but had been unsuccessful.

In November 2025, members of the Worcester Police Department Gang Unit, Crime Gun Intelligence Unit, and Detective Bureau met with the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Unit, and the United States Marshal Service met to share information and collaborate in an attempt to locate Diaz. During this information sharing meeting, Detectives reviewed information developed during the shooting incidents. During this review, a female associated to Diaz was identified. This female had disappeared after the 2022 shooting that Diaz is a suspect in. She had moved to an unknown location, and her social media went dark.

Members of the US Marshals were able to research the female and identify that she might be residing in Houston, Texas. U.S. Marshals in Houston located the female, and during surveillance of her, observed her with a male that appeared to be Diaz. Further investigation revealed that the male was in fact Kenneth Diaz.

On December 3, 2025, the US Marshals made entry into the female’s residence and Diaz was taken into custody. At the time of his arrest, Diaz was in possession of several firearms and body armor.

On December 17, 2025, members of the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office returned Diaz to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to appear in court.

The arrest of Diaz most likely would not have happened if it were not for the collaborative efforts and information sharing between the Worcester Police Department, the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, the Massachusetts State Police and US Marshals Service. Their collective efforts resulted in Diaz being located and placed under arrest.
