FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 10/8/2026 12:55 pm

The WPD Special Crimes Unit and Cyber Crimes Unit, in coordination with the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office Child Advocacy Center and Child Abuse Unit along with the FBI, conducted an investigation into child exploitation over the internet where the suspect, identified as 46-year-old Jason Wilson, had inappropriately contacted a child in the City of Worcester.  As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Jason Wilson on the following charges: Dissemination of Matter Harmful to a Minor, Posing or Exhibiting a Child in a State of Nudity or Sexual Conduct, Dissemination of Visual Material of a Child in a State of Nudity or Sexual Conduct, Possession of Child Pornography/Child Sexual Abuse Material and Attempt to Commit a Crime.

Wilson was arrested in relation to this warrant early Tuesday morning by the West Boylston Police Department at an unrelated event. Worcester Detectives executed numerous search warrants resulting in the collection of further evidence. This investigation is ongoing.

The Worcester Police Department would also like to thank the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Service (VFAS) and United States Marshal Service (USMS) for their assistance with this case.

Because of the tireless dedication of Detectives within these units and coordination with our partner agencies, offenders such as this are held accountable, and children in our community are safer and supported.
