Worcester Police Department

On September 21, 2026, Vice Detectives were in possession of a search warrant for an apartment on Preston Street after a lengthy investigation into the sale of crack and fentanyl.  During this investigation, the apartment was identified as a stash location from which drugs were being distributed by a group of young males throughout the Main South neighborhood.  This apartment has also been the location of recent gang-related activity.   

At approximately 8:00 p.m., Vice, Gang, and Crime Gun Intelligence Unit Detectives approached the address along with WPD K-9 and EOP Officers.  Vice Detectives knocked and announced their presence on the target door and then made entry into the apartment.  Detectives located eighteen-year-old Alexander Abreu, eighteen-year-old Niziah Colon, eighteen-year-old Denisse Santiago, and a seventeen-year-old juvenile male inside the apartment. 

During a subsequent search, Detectives located approximately 78 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale, 33 grams of fentanyl packaged for sale, drug packaging materials, digital scales, and a large sum of cash.  All individuals were arrested and charged with Trafficking Cocaine 36-99 grams, Trafficking in Class A 18-36 grams, and Trafficking in Fentanyl more than 10 grams.         

While Vice Detectives were transferring the prisoners to the patrol wagon, a seventeen-year-old juvenile male continually approached Detectives, attempting to impede and interfere with their efforts to safely transfer custody of the prisoners.  The male was given several commands to keep his distance and to stop interfering with the arrest, but he refused to comply, aggressively approaching Vice Detectives.  Vice Detectives placed him under arrest. The male was charged with Interfering and Resisting Arrest.
