Worcester Redevelopment Authority to Host Community Input Session for Future Use of Former RMV Site at 611 Main St.

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester Redevelopment Authority (WRA) will host a Community Input Session on Wednesday, Sept. 2 to gather feedback for the future use of the 611 Main St. property, which is a 65,017 square foot parcel containing one, single-story building.
In its current configuration, the building includes 13,330 square feet of commercial space, with the remainder of the property consisting primarily of a paved parking area. Previously owned by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the property housed the Worcester branch of the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles from 1983 through its relocation in August 2022. The WRA took ownership of the property in January 2026.
A Request for Proposals is expected to be released in the fall.
The meeting will take place in the first-floor meeting room of the Worcester Public Library at 3 Salem Sq. at 5:30 p.m.
