Worcester Police Department

At approximately 12:35 a.m. on July 22, 2026, a male and female were shot inside 56 Shrewsbury Street, the Victory Cigar Bar. The police were called immediately and were able to give medical aid by utilizing chest seals. 

 Both victims were conscious and alert and transported to a local hospital. Both underwent surgery and both are currently in stable condition. 

The suspect is not in custody but at this time, there is no reason to believe there is danger to the public. 

The exterior of the building and roadway were shut down for about two hours. The investigation is ongoing.
