WPD Vice Detectives Arrest Male on Drug Trafficking and Firearms Charges

On July 8, 2026, Vice Detectives were in possession of two search warrants. One warrant was for “The Spot” restaurant located at 314 Grafton Street, and the second was for an adjacent apartment on Cutler Street. The search warrants were obtained after a lengthy investigation into the distribution of crack cocaine from these locations. The named target of the warrants was forty-five-year-old Davial Kirkpatrick or Worcester.
At approximately 7:10 a.m., Vice Detectives observed Kirkpatrick exit the residence and begin walking towards the restaurant. Upon seeing Detectives approach, Kirkpatrick attempted to run up Grafton Street and was quickly detained. Keys to the restaurant were located on the ground where Kirkpatrick was detained. At the same time, other Vice Detectives, EOP, and WPD K-9 approached the target address and made entry into the first-floor apartment. Keys were then used to enter and secure the restaurant.
Once the apartment and restaurant were secure, a thorough search was conducted. Detectives located approximately 350 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of fentanyl, digital scales, large amounts of currency, drug processing material and personal paperwork for Kirkpatrick in the rear office of the restaurant.
An AR-15 style rifle, and AR-15 Style pistol, 3 large capacity 30 round magazines loaded with ammunition, a large amount of currency was located in Kirkpatrick’s bedroom on Cutler Street. He does not possess a license to carry firearms. Approximately $65,000 was seized from the apartment and business.
Kirkpatrick has been charged with Trafficking More than 200 Grams of Cocaine and several firearms charges.
