Worcester Youth Council to Host Youth Convention Friday, May 22

WORCESTER, Mass. – The City of Worcester Youth Council is hosting a Youth Convention Friday, May 22, at Doherty Memorial High School for Worcester youth ages 14-24 to build leadership skills and network.
Attendees will be able to participate in workshops, learn about important issues affecting youth in Worcester, and share their thoughts with city officials. The event will include food, arts and crafts, and games. Individuals looking to learn more about youth advocacy are encouraged to attend.
“The Youth Convention is a great opportunity for young folks looking to get involved in their city and advocate for their peers,” said City Manager Eric D. Batista. “This is a great environment to meet like-minded individuals who want to grow into leaders that will continue to guide our city in the right direction.”
The event is free to attend. Adults accompanying youth are welcome to attend.
