Worcester Police Department

At approximately 6:15 p.m. on April 6, 2026, Worcester Police officers responded to Laurel Street for a report of an assault with a firearm. The victim stated that four males in a motor vehicle approached and attempted to rob him while displaying a firearm. The suspect vehicle was found by officers on Orient Street and stopped. Multiple officers assisted with the high-risk motor vehicle stop.  Four juveniles were removed from the vehicle and detained. A handgun was recovered from one of the suspects and an additional handgun was discovered within the vehicle. All four males were placed under arrest and charged accordingly. The Crime Scene Unit responded and recovered the firearms.
