Worcester to Host Boards and Commissions Info Sessions

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 11/3/2025 12:48 pm

WORCESTER, Mass. – The City of Worcester is hosting two info sessions for residents to learn about becoming a member of one of the municipality’s Boards and Commissions.

Residents will learn about the many boards and commissions and what they do, why they matter, and how to serve on one. The info sessions will include a panel discussion and give residents a chance to connect directly with current and former members and municipal staff.

“Boards and Commissions are incredibly important and help preserve the vitality of our democratic institutions,” said City Manager Eric D. Batista. “From the Accessibility Advisory Commission to the Zoning Boards of Appeals, there is a board or commission for everyone. I urge residents to attend these info sessions and make a plan to get involved with a board or commission to serve the public and make a direct impact in your community.”

Location: Worcester Senior Center, 128 Providence St.

  • Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, 6 - 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
