WPD Officers Arrest Underaged Male for Carrying a Firearm

On September 28, 2025, at approximately 6:50 PM, Worcester Police officers observed a vehicle with an owner that has a suspended license. Officers conducted a traffic stop on Plantation Street. The owner was not operating the vehicle and was seated in the backseat.
Three individuals were in the vehicle with her, including nineteen-year-old Luis Muniz of Worcester, who was seated in the front seat sweating profusely and breathing heavily. He stepped out of the vehicle and was searched. An officer found a firearm in his front waistband. Since Muniz is nineteen years old, it is illegal for him to carry a gun.
Muniz was arrested and charged with Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License and Carrying a Firearm Without a License. None of the occupants were found to have a valid license. The driver was arrested for Operating With A Suspended License. A friend and valid licensed operator was allowed to take the vehicle.
