DPW Conducting Sewer Work on Main Street

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Department of Public Works (DPW) announced Friday that repair work to a partially broken sewer line on Main Street near Cambridge Street started on Friday, July 25.
Sewer service in the area is not affected by the break and it will not be impacted by the repairs. The partial break poses no danger to the public or the environment.
A repair crew began mobilizing equipment and materials to the site on Friday and will begin setting up a temporary sewer by-pass through the weekend.
Traffic and pedestrian travel through the intersection will be impacted and delays are expected. Please plan accordingly. Temporary traffic control measures are being reviewed at this time.
