With an appointment, residents may drop off bulk waste items for nominal fees at the following times:
- Wednesday appointments: 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Saturday appointments: 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
DPW reserves the right to limit quantities of certain items disposed of at the facility during each calendar year.
You can schedule an appointment online via the link below or call 508-929-1300. Payment is accepted by check or exact cash only - no change is available on-site. Proof of residency is required. If using a property tax or water invoice, please ensure it pertains to the current year. Commercial vehicles are not permitted.
Public Notice: The last day for Bulk & Yard Waste will be Saturday December 6, 2025.

The Residential Drop-Off Center is typically open April through November. Appointments are scheduled for a half hour timeframe and can be scheduled up to 48 hours before the desired appointment date/time.
How to Participate
Find the bulk item(s) you wish to dispose of from the items below. This list does not include all of the items we can accept. Please note that all items are a flat fee of $5 each except mattresses and box springs. If you don't find the item you have, please call Worcester 311 at 311.
Curbside Bulk Waste Pick-Up
If residents are unable to transport bulk waste items to the Residential Drop-Off Center, they may contact Casella Waste Systems, Inc. for curbside bulk waste pick up (fees apply). Residents may also contact a different licensed hauler for this service (rates vary).
Casella Waste Management of Massachusetts, Inc.
- Available for single family and multi-family residential buildings containing up to six units.
- There is a per-item fee for curbside bulk waste pick-up.
- The City's recycling contractor, Casella Waste Management of Massachusetts, Inc., is the curbside bulk waste collector.
- The City has obtained preferred rates from Casella for bulk waste pick-up. Residents must contact Casella directly by calling 508-832-2349.
- Residents can have an unlimited number of items collected per appointment.
- Residents must pay for bulk collection when the appointment is made. Payment can be by credit card (VISA, MasterCard and AMEX) or money order.
