PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The City of Worcester is proposing to construct a fire station at 25 Madison St. in Worcester, MA. The new building will be a two-story mostly brick façade of approximately 30,000 square feet. Work is anticipated to begin May 2026. Occupancy is expected in June 2027. The proposed South Division Fire Station project is comprised of one phase, with the construction site located in a densely populated neighborhood, at the intersection of Madison Street and Southbridge Street. The area has multiple businesses in the area and requires coordination and accommodation of traffic, both vehicle and pedestrian.
