Lincoln Square Boys Club

Project History

Opened in 1930, the 4-story Boys Club building originally served the youth of Worcester as a club house and more recently as part of the Worcester Vocational School complex. Previously slated for housing, the vacant building became part of a redevelopment license agreement between the City of Worcester and Worcester Polytechnic Institute which expired in May 2013. The City of Worcester sold the Lincoln Square Boys Club to WinnDevelopment in May 2019.

WinnDevelopment continues to advance the planning and financing for their proposed senior housing development. The project consists of the historic preservation of the existing building as well as a 5-story addition to facilitate the creation of 95 units of mixed-income housing for seniors. The project also includes other services, amenities and a community room in partnership with Preservation Worcester and Salisbury Cultural District.
