In an effort to make the regulatory environment for Food Trucks more transparent and business friendly, the City Administration proposed - and the City Council adopted - an amendment to Chapter Fourteen of the Revised Ordinances of 2008. The language allows for food truck friendly zones in the City of Worcester.
The City Manager has the authority to designate Food Truck Friendly Zones in the City, allowing Food Trucks to operate in those areas under certain guidelines.
There is currently one zone Food Truck Friendly Zone: Mercantile Plaza.
