Meetings:
Every three months at 6 p.m. (weekly during peak months: Nov. - Feb.)
Board/Commission Duties:
Make annual recommendations to the City Manager regarding agencies and programs to be grant funded for eligible projects through the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
Member Responsibilities:
Help identify community needs. Prioritize and make recommendations for projects to be funded through the City's annual CDBG funding.
Member Skillset:
Members should have two or more of the following:
- Have an interest in helping residents improve their lives.
- A history of community involvement or interest in community development and neighborhood revitalization.
- A strong interest in the City's neighborhoods and diverse communities.
- Capacity to read, analyze and prioritize written applications for funding.
- A keen sense of volunteerism and dedication to tasks of the committee.
- Good judgement and ability to work as part of a team.
