Worcester Youth Council to Host Youth Convention April 24

WORCESTER, Mass. – The City of Worcester Youth Council is hosting a Youth Convention Thursday, April 24 at Doherty Memorial High School for Worcester youth ages 12-24 to build leadership skills and network.
Participants will be able to learn about important issues affecting youth in Worcester and share their thoughts with city officials. The event will include food, arts and crafts, games, and will be followed by an after-party. Individuals looking to learn more about youth advocacy are encouraged to attend.
“This is a great opportunity for youth looking to get involved in their city and advocate for their peers,” said City Manager Eric D. Batista. “Having an engaged and involved youth is critical to ensure our future generations grow into strong leaders who are actively involved with ensuring that our city continues to grow in the right direction.”
The event is free, but participants must RSVP and be registered to attend. Adults accompanying youth are welcome to attend.
